10. Self-Hosted Analytics
This website counts visits using a self-hosted method that runs entirely on our own server. No cookies are used, no third parties are involved and no data is transferred to third countries.
What is recorded
Page visited, date and time (to the hour), the origin of the visit in generalised form (e.g. “Google Search” or “Instagram”), device type, screen class, operating system, browser family, browser language setting, language version visited, preferred colour scheme, browser time zone, time on page in bands, scroll depth in bands, and the use of buttons such as starting a video or submitting the contact form.
What is not stored
No IP addresses are stored. No full browser identifiers (user agent) are stored. No cookies are set. There is no cross-site recognition and no combination with other data sources. There is no automated decision-making and no profiling for advertising purposes.
How visits are distinguished
To tell repeat views by the same person apart from views by different people, an irreversible checksum is derived from the IP address, the browser identifier, the calendar day and a secret value. Only this checksum is stored, and only for the current calendar day. It changes at every change of day, so recognition beyond a single day is impossible. The IP address itself is never stored.
Visit log
For the current and the previous calendar day, the order of pages visited within a single visit and the buttons used are also recorded. This record serves to improve the structure of the site and is deleted automatically after two calendar days at the latest.
Retention
Aggregated counts without personal reference are kept for up to 400 days. The visit log is deleted after two calendar days.
Legal basis
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The operator has a legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and in improving it technically and in terms of content. As no cookies are set and no information is stored in or read from the terminal equipment beyond what is strictly necessary, consent under Section 25(1) TTDSG is not required.
Objection
You may object to this measurement at any time. The button below sets a strictly necessary marker in your browser that permanently disables counting on this device. This marker exists solely to implement your objection (Section 25(2) no. 2 TTDSG), contains no personal data and is not transmitted to anyone.
